We pattern our school year off of the EPIC Adventure format. I find it to be a dynamic, highly adaptable and VERY effective way to teach my children the things I want to teach them. It also allows me to incorporate all of the other teaching methods and philosophies that I like. I look at EPIC Adventures as an organizational tool. It is, at the very base, a thematic style of teaching. However, it encompasses so much more than that. EPIC Adventures utilize elements which inspire children and form close bonds among family members. That is ultimately why I choose to pattern our homeschool after this method.
