Visit to an Archery Shop

This was an impromptu field trip to a local archery shop.  They focus mainly on baseball bats now, but the employees were great and pulled out different bows and arrows and did a little demonstration in the warehouse for us!

 N loved the feathers on all of the arrows!  They had some extra, old arrows--without points, laying around that they sent us home with!

Here H poses with a bow like those used in medieval times.  The height of this bow would be for a kid probably between her age and 10 years old.  It was almost as tall as me!  It gave us a whole new perspective of why it is called the "long bow" to actually see and hold one that size!
