This FREE field trip could not have come at a better time! A local university was holding their annual pumpkin launch while we were studying castles and medieval weapons ( trebuchets!) There were a ton of hands on stations for us to try out various catapults, make our own catapults, and watch a competition of larger scale catapults as they launched pumpkins towards targets, aiming for the centers. It was a GREAT experience!
